Element Midstream’s management team, led by Brian Peters, has a proven track record of successful transactions and returns to investors, as well as deep experience in all aspects of midstream operations. Brian J. Peters

Co-Founder & Chief Executive Officer

Mr. Peters is Co-Founder and CEO for Element Midstream and is responsible for the overall leadership and direction of the company. Brian is an energy executive with more than 25 years of broad-based midstream and upstream experience. His background ranges from successfully building private-equity backed midstream companies to managing multibillion-dollar assets for Fortune 500 companies. As a result, Brian brings pragmatic field-tested insights, innovative business strategies and board room experience to Element.

Prior to founding Element, Brian was VP – Engineering & Construction for Meritage Midstream where he had senior responsibility for engineering, construction and supply chain in the US and Canada. During his tenure at Meritage, Brian was a key member of the management team that successfully built and sold Meritage Midstream ULC to SemGroup and KKR in 2019. Prior to Meritage, Brian held positions of increasing responsibility with Noble Energy/Noble Midstream, Anadarko Petroleum/Western Gas, Canyon Gas Resources, Cantera Natural Gas and McMurry Oil Company and was responsible for engineering, operations, construction, land, EHSR and supply chain.

Brian earned his B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Kansas and his MBA from the University of Denver.


Mark Koehn

Chief Operating Officer

Mr. Koehn brings nearly 25 years of energy industry experience from the upstream and midstream sectors, as well as chemicals and refining. With a broad base of knowledge in engineering, construction and operations, Mark is able to efficiently execute projects of varying sizes and complexities, as well as evaluating and optimizing programs that span many disciplines and business functions. Throughout his career, Mark has led teams in multiple basins to initiate innovative designs, compiled both short and long-term business development plans, as well as urgent response to critical, enterprise-level-emergency situations.

Mark holds a bachelor’s of science degree in Chemical Engineering from The University of Texas at Austin, and attended the Harvard Business School General Management Program in Boston.


Adam M. Vincent

Co-Founder & Chief Commercial Officer

Mr. Vincent is Co-Founder & Chief Commercial Officer for Element Midstream. Adam is responsible for sourcing deals, negotiating commercial terms, economic analysis, and strategic review of business development opportunities. Adam is an accomplished energy professional that brings nearly 15 years of progressive industry experience in midstream, marketing, business development, commercial development, energy finance and accounting to Element Midstream.

Prior to Co-Founding Element Midstream, Adam most recently served as Manager of Marketing & Midstream at Bonanza Creek. Prior to Bonanza Creek, Adam was a member of Anadarko Petroleum, Laramie Energy and Berry Petroleum and worked in various marketing, midstream, business development, scheduling, gas control, accounting and finance roles.

Adam received a BA in Communications from the University of Colorado at Boulder, and earned an MBA from Regis University with an emphasis in finance and accounting.
